The Art of Networking

In this section, we're going to explore many ways to get the word out about your web site. At this point, you've done all the basics. Now it's time to give your site the push you need to be come a known presence on the World Wide Web.

What is Networking?

Webster's Dictionary defines networking as:

net'work'ing n. 1 the developing of contacts or exchanging of information, as to further a career. 2 the interconnection of computer systems.

In this case, we're talking about definition 1, but change ‘career' to ‘website' and there you have it. Networking is the heart and soul of the Internet, for what is the Web except a massive amount of interconnections? Networking is all about making those connections.

There are many ways to network. There are even people and companies that make a career of networking your web site, so it can be a lot of work. In fact, I would say it's a never ending process. Don't let this stop you, I'm here to take the mystery and confusion out of the process and make you an expert in no time.
